The stone

A single round brilliant lab-created stone, cut to the proportions that return the most light through the top of the gem rather than leaking it out of the sides. Lab-created stones are grown rather than mined, which is why this size is affordable at all.

The setting

Four slim prongs hold the stone with the least metal that will do the job, so light reaches it from every side. The shoulders taper into a plain polished band that sits flush against a wedding ring if you stack later.

Finding your size

Sizes run US 5 to US 10. If you are between sizes, or buying as a surprise, size up rather than down; a slightly loose ring can be worn on a different finger, a tight one cannot. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest. Full chart in the size guide below.
