Heart-shaped jewellery usually goes one of two ways: a flat metal heart with no light in it at all, or something so large it can only be worn ironically. Devotion is neither. The heart is a faceted 4mm stone, so it behaves like a gem, and it is small enough to wear every day without thinking about it.

The stone

A 4mm heart-cut lab-created stone, roughly 0.245ct. Heart cuts are harder to execute than rounds because the two lobes have to match exactly; done properly, the cleft stays sharp and the point stays crisp.

The chain

925 sterling silver, adjustable from 40cm to 50cm, so it suits a range of ages and necklines.
